Why we drive
Our senior neighbors lead happier, healthier lives when they “age in place”.
But how does one continue to live at home without viable transportation, basic chores around the home, or access to essential services?
Since March 1, 2006 Richmond Township has provided door-to-door service to Richmond and Burton Township Seniors & Disabled persons (age 50+).
Our vision is to ensure that every senior in our township has access to essential services. We provide transportation and support services or events that enhance independence and quality of life for all of our senior clients.
HOW DIFFERENT WOULD YOUR LIFE BE IF YOU COULDN'T DRIVE?
How would you do your grocery shopping? How would you get to the doctor or pick up your prescriptions? Your time or donations could help thousands of senior citizens without transportation in Round Rock, Pflugerville, Hutto, and East Austin, to stay in their own homes. Perhaps one of your family members has needed such a service in the past and you’d like to give back, or possibly you’re looking for a worthy way to spend some of your extra time, or maybe you’re looking for a great cause to get needed service hours - whatever reason you may have, you can make a big difference here!
Making a Difference:
Richmond Township has designed a more efficient schedule to sustain the longevity of the transportation program while meeting our Seniors needs!
We continue to be committed to securing a viability of this program for our seniors now and in the future.
A twenty mile radius of travel has been set from the Richmond Township office.
Since communities and agencies pay for most of the trip, we work together to keeps costs affordable and your fees manageable.
Richmond Township Senior Services also asks for charitable donations and grants to help cover the services’ costs. Make your gift to Richmond Township to ensure we are able to continue providing these services.
SPONSORING THE INDEPENDENCE OF THOSE WHO HAVE GIVEN SO MUCH
The seniors in our communities have spent years in the service of generation that are coming behind them. Our valuable sponsors help make it possible for Senior Access give back to those who have already given so much of there service to us. This valuable service would not be possible if it were not for our sponsors. We are grateful for their investment and trust in our work.
WE COULDN'T BE HERE WITHOUT YOU
Thanks to generous donation by individuals and organization like yours, we’ve been able to help hundreds of Seniors throughout the years. While we do receive a small grant from McHenry County, there are still many things that require funding to keep our doors open. The need for our service continues to grow, and we need your help now as much as we ever have. Thank you for being willing to assist those who are no longer able to assist themselves.
Your contribution, no matter the size, makes a big impact.
For many older adults who cannot drive, Richmond Township Senior Services makes it possible to do even the simple things others may take for granted - running to the store, doctors appointments, or going to their place of worship. Supporting Richmond Senior Services means you become a change-maker in the quality of life and social connectivity for older adults in our township. No amount is too small - set up a recurring donation today or see our other donation options available.
